Trainings at Expressive Arts Collective

At Expressive Arts Collective, trainings are rooted in intermodal expressive arts and a practice‑centered approach. Learning occurs through a weaving process—moving back and forth between instruction, personal engagement in the arts, and translating those experiences into your work with others. Our programs support those who are integrating expressive arts into existing work, beginning a new professional path, or deepening a personal creative practice.

If you are working towards REAT, you may choose to complete your hours primarily with one institute or combine offerings from multiple IEATA‑aligned providers to create the pathway that fits you best.

Our Training Philosophy

At Expressive Arts Collective, experiential learning—visual art, movement, music and writing — is embedded in each training so you develop skills from the inside out. Each offering stands on its own and can be combined with others to create a training path that fits your background, schedule, and goals in expressive arts facilitation, education, and therapeutic application. Our core training hours are aligned with the guidelines of IEATA® (International Expressive Arts Therapy Association) for REAT® (Registered Expressive Arts Therapist).

Our trainings are currently designed specifically for therapists, counselors, and other mental health professionals who are integrating expressive arts into their clinical work. No previous art experience is required—just a willingness to be present, curious, and engaged in the creative process. Each training includes a specific number of continuing education hours and a certificate of completion. All art supplies are included in the cost of each training.
